Terms of Hire

Thank-you for travelling with Aberfoyle Coaches, Upon hiring a coach, bus or any other vehicle from Aberfoyle Coaches Ltd and/or any other related company - as a customer you accept and are legally bound by the following Terms & Conditions of Travel.

General Hire Information

1.0 In accordance with Scottish legislation all coaches, buses and vehicles in our fleet are non-smoking. It is a criminal offence to smoke or knowingly permit smoking within an enclosed public space.

1.1 Under no circumstances is alcohol allowed to be consumed this applies to all coaches, buses and vehicles in our fleet. This condition is strictly non-negotiable and will be strictly enforced by our drivers and crew members.

1.2 Aberfoyle Coaches accepts no responsibility for damage to, or loss of property or goods of the hirer or any member of their party during the hire.

1.3 Aberfoyle Coaches accept no responsibility for delay and any related caused by unforeseen circumstances beyond our control e.g. traffic congestion & weather.

1.4 The full amount outstanding for the cost of any hire is due 1 week before the hire date and must be paid in full.

1.5 Any additional requirements must be mentioned at the time of booking. e.g. Multiple Pick-ups/Drop-offs and additional seating requirments (car/booster seats).

Additional Applicable Charges

2.0 It is company policy that if any damage is caused to a coach, bus or any other vehicle the hirer will be liable for any damage caused by either themselves or a member of their party.

2.1 It is company policy to charge a minimum of £40 for the cost of excess cleaning to the coach, bus or vehicle e.g chewing gum on seats.

2.3 It is company policy to charge the following cancellation charges; depending on when the hire is cancelled. 28 - 14 days = 25 % of hire price, 13 - 8 days =50 % of hire price, 7- 2 days = 75 % of hire price & Less than 48 hours = 100 % of hire price.

Right of Refusal

3.0 Aberfoyle Coaches reserves the right to refuse to carry ANY drunk, aggressive, abusive or otherwise badly behaved passengers at the sole discretion of the driver of the coach or crew member.

3.1 Aberfoyle Coaches reserves the right to terminate the hire agreement, return all funds paid to the hirer and have no further liability.
